Make an Appointment - Caroline Ball (Business, Law & Social Sciences)

Hi, my name is Caroline, and I'm the academic librarian here at the University of Derby for Business, Law, Criminology, Policing, International Relations, Politics and Sociology. This means I'm the main contact in the Library for help and support for students and staff on these programmes. I am also the University's Copyright and Licensing Advisor, so I can assist with copyright issues related to teaching and learning as well.

If you'd like to make an appointment to see me, here's what you need to know:

  • Students studying on the programmes mentioned above only - the academic librarians all have specialisations, so if you are studying on a different programme you need to book in with the librarian for your subject, who will be better able to help you
  • Please try to be on time - if you are more than ten minutes late I may not be able to see you due to follow-up appointments.
  • If you cannot make the appointment, please cancel it via the link in your confirmation email as soon as possible.
  • Please let me know what kind of issues you would like help with, i.e. referencing, research, electronic resources etc, in as much detail as you can.
  • If you have arranged a telephone appointment, I will call you at the appointed time. Please note I cannot call outside of the UK - if you are based internationally, please let me know and I can send you an online meeting appointment.
  • If you selected an online appointment, please visit the Blackboard online meeting room at the following link:
