Evaluating digital information and avoiding Fake News [workshop] In-Person
Information and news are continually 'pushed' at us through mobile devices, social media, apps, search engines and all the other digital 'places' we visit, we also need to find and use large amount of information for our work and study. Being able to evaluate and analyse sources to identify credibility, relevance and accuracy is therefore an incredibly valuable skill!
In this workshop we will look at approaches for evaluating digital information and ways to avoid manipulation, false claims and the phenomenon of 'fake news'.
