Database Focus :: Web of Science (Advanced) Online

**Please note: Sessions are subject to change if unforeseen circumstances arise. Please register for the session to ensure you receive updates via email.**

This 45-minute + Q&A workshop will introduce you to the database Web of Science (social sciences, sciences (including biomedical sciences,) and arts & humanities) using the advanced search option. We will look at using the advanced search screen, and finding full-text. It will be assumed that you have prior experience of using this database through attending the introductory workshop or through using the database yourself as we won't go over those elements here.

You attend the session online via Blackboard Collaborate. You don't need to download anything as it all takes place in your browser, but if you have connection problems then the first thing to do would be to try an alternate browser although Chrome / Firefox are the most stable.

You will need to set up your device's audio / video before you get started so make sure you have a microphone & speakers / headphones to interact. (Although if you wish you can use the built-in chat feature instead and your questions will be answered towards the end of the session.)

The session will be recorded and the link sent out to everyone who has registered.

Please ensure that you put your university email address in correctly - it should end @unimail.derby.ac.uk
