Google for Researchers Online
This session is intended for postgraduate research students and academic research staff.
The session will cover how to use Google and Google Scholar effectively for the purposes of research, including:
- how to target and filter your earch results using advanced search techniques
- recent developments to Google Search
- how to stay up to date with publications in your field through the use of citation links and search alerts
- how to link Google to your university library account
- Google Scholar profile and features
- the Public Access (Open Access) feature and what it means for you as a researcher
Questions are welcome - there is an opportunity to ask these on the registration form. There will also be time for discussion during the session.
