Part-time Jobs and Volunteering Fair - Careers and Employment Service In-Person
Please book this event through this link to the Careers and Employment Service Website.
The Part-time Jobs and Volunteering Fair is a brilliant opportunity for you to meet employers and discover roles which will help you to gain valuable work experience.
If you are looking for a part-time job or a volunteering position, there will be a wide range of local businesses, charities, and not-for-profit employers on campus, ready to talk to you about opportunities available and how you can apply.
We would recommend that all students consider either a part-time job or volunteering role alongside your studies to help improve key employability skills and maximise your chances of securing a graduate role.
A part-time job is a great way to boost your career prospects through developing your transferrable skills before graduating, and you can earn some extra money whilst studying. Volunteering is an excellent way to gain relevant industry work experience, increase your network and give back to your community.
At the fair you can also visit the Careers Hub, chat to our Careers Team and explore the careers support available.
This event is open to all University of Derby students and recent graduates. There will be a ‘quiet hour’ at the fair for anyone who wants to attend the event in a less busy environment. If you would like to attend this session, 10-11am, please book your place here.
Which employers will be at the fair?
A full list of employers will be available to view here nearer the time on the Careers and Employment Service Website.
Come along, get inspired and build your network!
