Google for Researchers Online
The session will cover how to use Google and Google Scholar effectively for the purposes of research, including:
- how to target and filter your search results using advanced search techniques
- recent developments to searching with Google
- how to stay up to date with publications in your field through the use of citation links and search alerts
- how to link Google Scholar to the university library
- Google Scholar Profile, including the Public Access feature
This session should appeal to all research active members of staff and students at all stages of the researcher journey.
Questions are welcome - there is an opportunity to ask these in advance on the registration form. There will also be time for discussion during the session.
