Introduction to Harvard Referencing

Introduction to Harvard Referencing Online

This session will introduce you to the basic principles of the Harvard referencing style used at the university of Derby, including:

  • How to construct references for a reference list
  • How to use citations within your text
  • How to summarise, paraphrase and set out quotations

It will also demonstrate how to use the Cite Them Right online referencing resource

Please note: this session is for students studying on a programme that requires the use of Harvard referencing. If you are studying on a programme that uses APA referencing, or one of the other referencing styles please do not register for this workshop as it will not be applicable.

You will receive an email, after registering, confirming you have a place on the workshop. The link to the Teams room will be in a reminder email which will be sent out two hours before the event, so please make sure that you enter your unimail email address in the correct format: xxxxxxx@unimail.derby.ac.uk so that you receive the email.

If you can no longer attend the event on the day you will still receive a recording of the / a Harvard session (as long as you don't cancel your registration.)
