Skills Lab: Critical Thinking

Skills Lab: Critical Thinking In-Person

This is an IN-PERSON event taking place at CHESTERFIELD - ST. HELENA, ST119.

Critical Thinking

Critical thinking allows learners to derive meaning from information, and synthesising clear, reasoned interpretations, understandings, and judgements of ideas and evidence.

Dig Deeper into the Develop@Derby Skill Set

Ready to take your skills to the next level? Skills Labs are interactive, hour-long sessions where you’ll explore one of Develop@Derby’s 10 core skills in more depth. Each session is structured to help you understand the skill, practise it in a hands-on way, and reflect on how it applies to your studies, work, and everyday life.

From building confidence in communication, boosting your leadership know-how, or developing your critical thinking, each lab offers a chance to dig deeper into each skill, and gain new skills and insights in a supportive environment.

What to expect:

  • A short introduction to the featured skill
  • An engaging activity designed to explore and build that skill
  • Space to reflect, share ideas, and consider how you can apply it going forward
